Mocha-AE a stand alone tracking tool based on Imagineer’s unique 2.5D planar tracking system. Designed as a cost-effective tracking solution for the After Effects community, mocha-AE  helps solve problematic shots that

A new plug-in for After Effects called “Falloff lighting” is released by Digieffects at last  Thursday, 05, Nov, 2009.

According to the statement of the company, the Falloff lighting is more familiar with the real world where light naturally decays or “fall off” as surface distance from the other After Effects’ light effect.

Robert Sharp, the president of Digieffects said that,  “Falloff Lighting is a great complement to After Effects’ built-in lighting system. With After Effects it doesn’t matter how far away a layer is from a light, it is still illuminated the same amount by that light. However, if you use Falloff Lighting, objects will appear dimmer the further away they are from the lights illuminating them.”

This plug-in displays the distance between the camera and the corners of the layers. You can modify the values of  distance scale to explain the scale of objects in your scene.What’s more is the intensity of light reflecting off an object could be controlled and also to  the gradual falloff as the distance from the light increases.
