VirtualDub MSU Cartoonizer Filter is designed for painting, drawing and animated cartoon rendering on VirtualDub.It has many parameters, which allows to obtain very interesting results. With it, you can easily convert video to cartoons on VirtualDub.
- First add this Filter to VirtualDub. Extract the Package downloaded and put the .vdf into the Plugin folder of VirtualDub.
- After importing the avi file into VirtualDub, now we should apply the cartoon effect to the video clips. Go to Video>Filters, and click Add button in the dialog button. Select in the left Filters list.

Adds variety to color luminance of strokes. This setting allows to achieve better results on monochromatic areas of the image. - Color Saturation
Changes Saturation of resulting image. Usually cartoons are bright and colorful, this setting allows to increase or decrease level of these parameters. - Show Edges
This setting allows to render edges using crayon. Options of edge rendering can be modified in Pencil Edge Options.

- Brush Size
- Save the files. Set the Frame rate, it is better to be same with the original file and. Go to Video>Compression, and select a codec to compress the file. Well done, you can save the cartoons.
